Oppo’s SuperVOOC technology is the fastest cable charging with 50W at 10V/5A speed at this moment, but it seems that Xiaomi wants to take a part in this game. The company is increasing its charging speed with its new technology namedSupercharge Turbo.
The announcement of this new supercharge technology will be held by the company in the near future, but for now, we may talk about it capabilities.
According to a post on the Weibo page by Lin Bin, this 100W charger from Xiaomi runs at 20V/5A to against Oppo’s 50W technology.
With this Supercharge Turbo technology, your phone will reach 100% charged in just 17 minutes, while Oppo’s technology will only reach 65% in the same charging period.
The speed is certainly incredible. Reckon the fact that Xiaomi’s Super Charge Turbo powers a 4,000 mAh battery, while SuperVOOC works with 3,700 mAh battery cells.
As another example, Huawei Super Charge 55W for the upcoming Mate X takes 35 minutes to fully charge the device’s battery cell.
Existing Xiaomi’s smartphones currently support fast charging up to 27W, but even the Mi 9 which is a flagship smartphone only packs 18W chargers in the box.
Sadly, it’s still unknown when we will be able to try Super Charge Tubro technology on Xiaomi smartphones. Obviously, Xiaomi still needs time to launch their latest charging technology bearer.
