The smartphone makers seem to be busy to try new forms to load the front camera. All of that, in order to get a better screen that will meet the face of the device.
After bangs, holes in the screen, a pop-up method, and even a module that can rotate, now Xiaomi, is allegedly making a front camera design with a shape that looks like a “bump” on the top of the phone.
It was guessed from the patent design by Xiaomi. The patent shows illustrations of phones with a front camera design that stand out from the side frame of the phone, similar to a notch that reversed.
Several designs have been described. Each has differences in terms of physical form and “bump ” in the “head” of the device.
Some carry straight and firm edges, the others tend to be more rounded. Beyond the physical aspect, it is not known what is differences between the designs.
There is also no fingerprint scanner in all of the design illustrations. Thus, there is a chance that the phone in the patent is planned to use indisplay fingerprint scanner.
Of course, because it is still a patent, it is not clear why this series has a bump on its head. It will actually created in the form of a finished prototype product.
Previously, Xiaomi was also known to have patented the design of the mobile phone with three front cameras and with a sliding mechanism. It is similar to that Mi Mix 3. Who knows which design would be real?
