On this modern age of internet, who doesn’t get bothered by slow connectivity? Surely any internet users who paid for their connection expect the speed that they’re promised for, but sadly, experiencing the upper threshold of connectivity only happens once in a blue moon. But do you know that it turns out that there are certain times that will make the internet speed in the 4G feels as fast as lightning?
OpenSignal is an independent company that created an app to capture real user measurements and developed innovative techniques to scientifically analyze the data and create a new global standard for understanding the true state of the world’s mobile networks based on measurements of real user experience.
Recently, the UK based internet research company, OpenSignal researched the 4G network speed in Indonesia. From the research results the existence of internet “rush hour” usage exists, resulting in a slower internet experience.
It is known that at 9:00 PM is the peak of “rush hour”. At this time the internet speed only reached maximum of 5.7 Mbps. A lot of internet users access the internet for heavy bandwidth usage, ranging from browsing, playing online games, or streaming HD videos.
And the “off-peak” period to use the internet is on 3:00 a.m., where internet bandwidth in Indonesia reaches up to 18.5 Mbps.
OpenSignal also ranked Indonesia as the 72nd out of 77 countries that they researched in internet speed.
