The new confidant,
Takuto Maruki

One of the two new characters is a new party member that goes by the name of Kasumi Yoshizawa (Japanese VA: Sora Amamiya), the rhythmic gymnast and the new transfer student at Shujin Academy; as she’s seen dancing in an animated cutscene. She utilizes a rapier-style sword and a Winchester-type rifle. Kasumi is going to play a major role and change up the original storyline and seemed to have close connection to Goro Akechi and the Protagonist.

There’s also a new Confidant by the name of Takuto Maruki, who is the school counselor at Shujin High that appears after Kamoshida’s change of heart. His Japanese voice actor is confirmed to be Satoshi Hino (Takagi Akito from Bakuman., Sai from Naruto, Toma from Amnesia) and his confidant arcana will be the Consultant Arcana, which is one of the nonexistent arcana that doesn’t exist in standard tarot deck and in any other Persona series before.

In the trailer, a new theme song and a brand new expansion for the Kichijoji area has been added. Player can engage in new social scenes with characters, go on a date to the aquarium, and play pool and darts at a game bar called Penguin Sniper with the whole Phantom Thieves.
