Great Rune as the extension of The Project “GR”?
Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice may still be consistent in giving a valuable “git gud” experience to its players. However, From Software seems not satisfied with the success of the Sekiro game. Based on rumors that were circulating recently, this Japanese developer apparently still wanted to make the back of gamers hands itching for the umpteenth time. Where they reportedly have some kind of project working on a new souls-like action RPG game that takes Nordic mythology as its theme.
The rumor seems to have evolved with the confirmation of the title of the game. Mentioned directly by a founder of the subreddit named “e_0”, it has been reported this new game will be titled as “Great Rune”. At first glance it does look like it has an interesting title. However, the subreddit group created by e_0 also seemed very mysterious.
It is known that the subreddit group about the Great Rune game was established since 2017. In other words, the Great Rune seems to be worked long enough, if what he claims is proven to be true.
E_o himself was not a first-timer establishing a subreddit. Because previously he was recorded as a moderator in various subreddits thread for the entire trilogy of Dark Souls and Bloodborne games.
Claims about the title of “Great Rune” itself also appear to be increasing thanks to the emergence of leaks about the new game project From Software which has the initials “GR” in it. But so far, the title of the Great Rune still cannot be officially confirmed considering the previous Bloodborne was present in the initials “SPRJ”. Fortunately, we can witness the certainty of the “GR” project together at the Microsoft Press Conference at the E3 2019 event.
Besides being rumored to be taking elements and themes from Nordic mythology, it is also rumored this game will be a unique collaboration between From Software and George R. R. Martin, the creator of The Song of Ice and Fire which is the novel series that later become the HBO hits, Game of Thrones.
