WhatsApp: Famous and Loved
WhatsApp is one of the most famous messaging applications ever. It is loved by every users because of the simple interface and quite light size which is so memory-friendly. But unfortunately, some of the users found out that their internal memory or storage become very packed because of WhatsApp. It is not because of the text you’ve sent and received before, but it’s because of the pictures, videos, even GIF that has been sent or received through this messaging application.
According to Tempo, here are several tricks to make your WhatsApp remain ‘light’:
- Restrict all the automatically downloaded files
Open the application on your phone. After that, tap on the three dots option on the top right of the screen. You could choose settings and choose the chat options. You will find a menu called Media Visibility. This menu will allow you to restrict the medias that you’ve received to do the auto download.
But if you don’t want to shut this feature down for every groups and chat rooms, you could selectively restrict it for several chats only.
- Mute several chat rooms
Open the private chat room or a group chat that you want to modify, then tap on the contacts. After that, open the Media Visibility option. Now WhatsApp will ask whether you want the media be saved automatically into your phone or not.
- WhatsApp iPhone
Open WhatsApp, then click on the Settings option. After that, choose the Data Usage options and Storage. On the storage menu, you will see the detailed settings that could be used to determine the kind of files that you want to upload automatically on your smartphone.
You can choose the photos, audios, video files, and documents. You can also choose the file that will not downloaded to your iPhone or you can set the auto download to work only when your device is connected to the Wi-fi.
